Homemade Lemon meringue pie from scratch! We used a Cooks Illustrated recipe, it tasted amazing. Eric, Barbara (my mother in law), and myself made this for Eric’s dad’s birthday. It was a little more work than we expected since there are several separate recipe that have to be followed that are time sensitive. We used a butter knife to make the waves on the meringue, Barbara was taught how to do this by her grandmother. Worth all the hard work, it hand zing and not sweet. Yum!
